A little history...

The company’s name is inspired by Hiram, the Phoenician king of Tyre (Lebanon), whose reign (970 to 936 BC) saw a period of expansion and prosperity which remains unequalled to this day in that part of the world. His main achievements included developing exchanges and international trade and putting a widely used currency into circulation. His famous sailors went off looking for gold and tin from the legendary city of Ophir and his architects built Solomon’s Temple. Lying somewhere between mythology and the Bible, he provided a civilising and financial link between all the peoples of the region.
